A site near Cologne, Germany, has been selected by computer aided detection (CAD) specialist R2 Technology as the base for its European operations. CAD, says the Sunnyvale, California company, is used increasingly by radiologists in interpreting mammograms and in finding otherwise undetected cancerous calcifications. The company's ImageChecker system (sales of over 300 to date), has so far been used in some 2.5 million mammogram interpretations.
