Executive Summary
Imagyn Medical Technologies is completing its first US human trial of its noninvasive method for measuring blood oxygen saturation. The device, called the PRO2 pulse reflectance oximeter, is designed to overcome problems associated with the use of conventional oximetry sensors, which can be unreliable when blood flow to the extremities is reduced due to shock, cold temperature, vascular disease or patient movement, said the Irvine, California firm.
