NeuroMetrix has received US FDA 510(k) clearance to expand the application of its NC-stat nerve conduction testing system to include its use in the evaluation of lower extremity nerves. The clearance "significantly expands the clinical utility of the system to include the evaluation of common causes of low back pain, such as sciatica, and other neuromuscular conditions affecting the back and legs," said Dr Shai Gozani, the Waltham, Massachusetts-based company's CEO.
