Executive Summary
The Irish Medical Devices Association (IMDA) last week hosted a forum of chief executives from the association's nine member diagnostics companies. John Place, director-general of the European Diagnostics Manufacturers Association (EDMA), was the keynote speaker at the event. The meeting, held in Dublin on January 23, is the first of what is set to become a regular once or twice-yearly event, addressing European and global trends in the diagnostics market, funding opportunities and issues, and training initiatives. Details of developments to emerge from the meeting were not available as Clinica went to press (see next issue).
