EP MedSystems had received FDA 510 (k) approval to market its ViewMate intracardiac ultrasound catheter in the US. The system enables eletrophysiologists and cardiologists to view the inside of the heart, allowing them to diagnose and treat a number of heart anomalies. The West Berlin, New Jersey firm said the catheter system was the first in a broad family of ViewMate products.
