Executive Summary
Novitron International, the Boston, Massachusetts company that provides instruments, assays and services for physician office laboratories (POLs) and other smaller labs, has changed its name to Clinical Data as of October 7. Over the past year the company has made a series of acquisitions of lab supplies and POL management service firms, and says the new name better expresses its strategic focus. In fact, it changed its name from Clinical Data to Novitron in 1994, to reflect its intended focus on analytical instrumentation.
