Executive Summary
The Singaporean government began last week the distribution of an estimated 1.1 million SARS toolkits in an effort to prevent further proliferation of the disease. The People's Association, a government organisation, said that by July 11 2003, everybody in the country should have received one of the kits, which consist of a surgical mask and a digital thermometer. SARS has so far resulted in 31 deaths in Singapore.
