The EU market for medical imaging equipment will have grown by some 9% in 2003 to approximately Euro2.6bn, according to latest estimates. COCIR, the association that represents manufacturers of electrical and electronic medical equipment reveals that this is led by an extraordinary growth rate of over 40% in nuclear medicine. PET orders were up significantly in almost all countries with the exception of Germany.
