AccuImage Diagnostics' has gained US FDA 510(k) clearance to market its PrimeLung software product for improving the visualisation of lung nodules on CT scans. PrimeLung is configured to reduce operator workload by automating a number of functions, and to increase consistency in measuring nodule characteristics and in following the complex decision tree involved in nodule management, says the San Francisco, California firm.
