The National Health Service in England is to get a further £94m ($154m) to improve audiology services, with the aim of providing the latest digital hearing aid technology nationally by April 2005, the Department of Health announced today (February 7 2003). 1.8 million people using hearing aids in England, including 18,000 children, stand to benefit from this technology.
