It has now been more than a week since news leaked out that Johnson & Johnson was in takeover talks with Guidant. Despite widespread expectation that a deal would be announced on Monday December 13 following further discussions on Sunday, both parties are still refusing to comment. All eyes are now on Johnson & Johnson's chequebook.
