Executive Summary
ComMedica is to supply its PACS imaging software to the North West and West Midlands areas of the UK National Health Service (NHS) in an agreement expected to generate £33m ($63.2m) over eight and a half years for the Woking, Surrey-based company. The software, which enables the capture, distribution and management of digital medical diagnostic images, will be distributed via the CSC Alliance, the local service provider of IT solutions for the above regions, until June 2013. The regions in question serve 14 million people, or 26% of the population of England. ComMedica was spun out of Imperial College, London, in 2000.
