VNUS Medical Technologies is to distribute Sontra Medical's SonoPrep ultrasonic skin permeation device and procedure tray - designed to enable rapid topical anaesthesia - alongside its own VNUS Closure system for the treatment of varicose veins and venous reflux disease. The SonoPrep will be used to reduce the pain of the lidocaine injection administered to the patient's leg to provide local anaesthesia during the treatment procedure.
