Consumer devices to remain within Swedish pharma benefits scheme

This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

Consumer medical devices, such as stoma care products, will remain part of the Swedish pharmaceutical benefits scheme (LMF). According to an agreement between the government and the Swedish association of county councils (LF) earlier this month, the scheme will not to be altered in the near future, despite the appointment of a new health minister. Consumer devices will thus continue to be subsidised.
