Executive Summary
Italy's leading medical technology meeting, DiaBioTech 2004, will be held at the Sala Capranica in Rome on October 12. For the first time, the event will comprise a conference on medical technology policy, as opposed to an exhibition-centred event. The organisers, Italian biomedical and diagnostics industry association Assobiomedica, have moved the biannual event from its previous venues in northern Italy to "raise the voice of Italy's healthcare needs closer to government".
