A decision by the German federal ministry of health to extend the duration of the convergence phase of the diagnosis related groups (DRG) system for hospital reimbursement has been welcomed by the medical devices industry association, BVMed. The extension is part of the ministry's new expert draft proposals to amend the DRG law.
