Hayward, California-based diagnostics firm Cholestech has promoted Gregory Bennett to vice-president of R&D. He replaces Dr Thomas Worthy, who is retiring. Mr Bennett has been the firm's director of engineering since November 2003. Prior to this, he was director of process development engineering for blood glucose systems maker LifeScan, a Johnson & Johnson company.
