PerkinElmer has signed an exclusive agreement to supply two General Electric units including GE Medical Systems with X-ray technology. It said the five-year deal would be worth around $250m to it. The amorphous silicon digital flat panel X-ray detector technology is used to provide detailed digital images of the human anatomy with a large field of view suitable for use in clinical applications that require high precision, such as radiography, cardiology and angiography.
