Executive Summary
PhotoMedex has filed suit against Edwards Lifesciences and its former parent, Baxter Healthcare, alleging they breached a series of development and commercialisation agreements, Edwards/Baxter and PhotoMedex agreed in 1997 to work together to manufacture and market the latter's excimer laser technology for use in transmyocardial revascularisation for angina. But Edwards subsequently obtained rights to an alternative heart laser product made by PLC Medical Systems, and the relationship with PhotoMedex ground to a halt.
