Scotland has acknowledged a poor performance in reducing urgent referral-to-treatment times for colorectal cancer, adding a new urgency to screening plans. In the three months to the end of March, less than a half of urgent referrals met the December 2005 target of two months - at 47.5%, this is down 10% on the previous quarter.
