44% of Dutch breast cancer patients have to wait longer than the national guidelines for diagnosis to be confirmed, and almost three quarters have to wait more than the prescribed four weeks for treatment to begin. So says a survey of 1,500 former breast cancer patients by the Dutch breast cancer association (BVN), published this week.
