Executive Summary

The Danish health ministry is carrying out a study among hospitals to discover to what extent medical devices containing phthalates in their materials are used, and in which products. The aim will be to identify treatments that can be carried out using phthalate-free products. According to the Danish medical device industry association, Medicoindustrien, phthalate-free devices are already predominantly used in premature baby wards.
