Executive Summary
The French healthcare products economics committee, CEPS, which decides on reimbursement levels for devices used in the private sector, has entered into a huge price/volume agreement with the French union of manufacturers of orthoprostheses. The result is 30 pages of price limits for these products, as shown in the Journal officiel. The list fixes not only the price that the reimbursement authorities will pay for the products, but also the maximum price of the products when sold to the public. The contract was published in the JO of March 4, and takes effect 30 days later.
