Executive Summary
Whole body MRI-screening for disease in asymptomatic patients is technically feasible, but at present should not be performed outside of a research setting until its value has been verified in further settings. So says one of the first studies of its kind to have demonstrated the feasibility of using whole-body MRI to screen for disease. Such examinations are traditionally carried out using computed tomography (CT).
