New data have shown that Given Imaging's swallowable endoscopy capsule could have a role in monitoring intestinal damage caused by NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). A study published the January issue of Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology showed that over two thirds of patients using NSAIDs suffered visible forms of injury to the small intestine.
