Canadian company Medical Services International is claiming a "100% accuracy" rate in an assessment of its VScan HIV I and II test kits in Haiti, in support of its campaign to extend provision of the test across the Caribbean. Medical Services believes its kit is particularly useful to the Caribbean market for being "very affordable and well suited for poorer countries", such as because it does not need to be refrigerated, does not need to be mixed, can be easily transported and provides results at the point of care.
