Executive Summary
Ireland's Health Service Executive has been given the go-ahead to install two linear accelerators at the Beaumont and St James's hospitals, in Dublin, as part of the National Radiation Oncology Plan. The Euro54m ($70m) investment, announced at the launch of Beaumont's Symptomatic Breast Disease Service, is scheduled to be completed by early 2009. The Plan is being developed in conjunction with medical and surgical oncology services.
