Dr Jitka Sabartova has taken over as interim director of the Czech Republic's State Institute for Drug Control (SUKL), following the dismissal of Dr Michal Sojka, just months after taking up the post. A permanent director is being sought through a "competitive hiring procedure"; applications are due in by November 14 2006.
