Executive Summary
EU Council of Minister meetings are now to be routinely televised to increase transparency and accountability. The European Parliament, which is in recess over August, already has a tradition of televising its sessions. According to the European Council's secretariat: "All public deliberations shall be broadcast in all languages through video-streaming and there shall be an obligation for a recorded version to remain available for at least a month on the Council's internet site."
