A dedicated five-year plan to address the health research needs of Pacific peoples will be launched this month by the Health Research Council of New Zealand (HRC). The Strategic Plan for Pacific Health Research will outline research goals, objectives and performance measures for 2006-10. The HRC will achieve its goals through working with Pacific communities, by building a Pacific health research workforce, and by investing in high quality health research.
