Volcano is looking to expand on its position in the imaging technology market with the acquisition of CardioSpectra, a company developing optical coherence tomography (OCT) technology. The all-cash deal, which is expected to close by the end of the year, will see Volcano pay $25m on closing and additional payments on the back of certain milestones.
