CAS Medical gets $2.8m cerebral oximetry grant:

Executive Summary

CAS Medical has received a $2.8m grant from the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) to advance its Fore-Sight cerebral oximeter. The Phase IIb small business innovative research grant (SBIR) will be used over three years to fund clinical outcome studies that focus on the company's Laser-Sight technology, which is incorporated into the oximeter. It will also be used to fund studies to help expand the indication of the Fore-Sight outside of the initial target market of cardiovascular surgery indications. Studies using the grant are scheduled to begin within the next two months.
