A number of UK research teams are joining together to develop a stem cell therapy for the eye disease, age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Following a £4m donation from an anonymous US benefactor, the London Project to Cure AMD will work towards moving the cell therapy from the laboratory to the clinic.
