Executive Summary
The much-criticised provision of Germany's April 1 health financing reform/increased competition law on the tendering for medtech aids contracts was one of the key themes at industry association BVMed's May 23 conference on general medtech industry matters. Meeting moderator Michael Banz (of Paul Hartmann AG) renewed the plea that contracts that needed a high degree of customer service/follow-up be awarded to local providers.
