Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) said its ReZoom multifocal intraocular lens (IOL) and Tecnis aspheric IOL, designed to give cataract patients sharper vision, led the 13.6% growth in IOL sales and continued to outpace the market. The Santa Ana, California-based company's laser vision correction division, which is currently undergoing an integration with the recently acquired IntraLase operations (see Clinica No 1239, p 1), grew 6% to $64.6m, aided by international procedure sales which leapt 83.3% to $4.6m.
