Attendees have been applauding the success of the Integrating the Healthcare Initiative (IHE), which aims to make it increasingly possible to share healthcare and patient management information through the use of IT. The so-called "Connect-a-thon", held in Berlin on April 15-20, gave those present the opportunity to test IT possibilities in the areas of radiology, cardiology, patient care co-ordination, laboratory and infrastructure.
