Bulked-up Inbone strengthens hold on foot and ankle ortho market:

This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

Ankle arthroplasty specialist Inbone Technologies (formerly Topez Orthopedics) has expanded its product portfolio with the addition of an intra-medullary fusion system, gained through a recent merger with Reiley Orthopedic. Unlike the external screw-and-plate systems conventionally used in foot and ankle fusion, Reiley's intra-medullary rods and plates - now marketed as the Inbone Fusion Rod system - allow fusion to take place from within the bone. The Berkeley, California-based company said that over 150 of its fusion systems have been installed and results have shown faster fusion times and lower infection rates without the nerve damage that can occur with external screws and plates.
