Radiosurgery systems developer Accuray is to combine its robotic radiosurgery technology with Siemens Medical Solutions' diagnostic imaging know-how, following a distribution and co-marketing deal between the two companies. Under the terms of the agreement, Accuray's CyberKnife robotic radiosurgery system and RoboCouch patient positioning system will be integrated into Siemen's Somatom computed tomography scanner with a sliding gantry configuration. Shares in Sunnyvale, California-based Accuray rose $0.42 (2%) to close at $23.78 on April 12, the day after the announcement.
