Concentric Medical, the Mountain View, California manufacturer of devices to remove blood clots in the brain following a stroke, has named Maria Sainz as president and CEO. She replaces Gary Curtis. Ms Sainz's last appointment was as president of Guidant's (now Boston Scientific) cardiac surgery division. She is also a board director for two healthcare technology companies.
