BD (Becton Dickinson) has promoted John Considine to vice-chairman and CFO, and appointed him to the - now 14-member - board of directors. BD president and CEO Ed Ludwig, who also sits on the board (the other 12 members being independent), said that Mr Considine would help drive revenue growth through innovation, operating effectiveness and productivity at BD.
