Executive Summary
Medical imaging procedures accounted for nearly 60% of the 105 million medical acts carried out in 2006 in the French private sector. These are among the initial statistics to emerge from the first year of full operation of the new French common classification of medical acts (CCAM) on activities in the private sector. "Diagnostic" procedures accounted for some 25%, although this does not refer to only to IVD testing, but rather to diagnosis in general.
