Executive Summary
Developer of minimally invasive ultrasonic equipment Misonix has called time on its domestic distribution deal for its SonicOne wound debridement system with Medline Industries. According to New York-based Misonix, Medline had been distributing the device on a limited test release basis. With the expiration of the agreement, the two companies have decided that the best distribution model for the product would be for Misonix to use its own distribution network. Medline (Mundelein, Illinois) will cease selling the SonicOne at the end of March 2008. The SonicOne system is designed to remove dead or infected tissue, fibrin and foreign materials from acute and chronic wounds.
