Executive Summary
Kidney dialysis and transplant services in Scotland were today billed as "an exemplar of long term care" by NHS Quality Improvement Scotland. Two reports from surveys of more than 2,500 renal care patients found that patient satisfaction is "generally high", but found a number of areas for service improvement, notably related to information and choice. The reports provide an insight into the different renal replacement therapy activities provided to over 4,000 people.
