French in vitro diagnostics firm bioMérieux has appointed Alain Pluquet chief technology officer. In the newly-created role, Dr Pluquet will be responsible for enhancing the Paris-based company's technology portfolio through in-house programmes, external research partnerships and technology acquisitions.
