Executive Summary

Italy has begun to consult on the health technology assessment (HTA) of "primary total knee replacement prostheses" and "technologies for the identification of osteoporosis". The HTA reports produced by the national agency for regional health services (AGENAS, formerly known by the initials ASSR) are available via the medical devices section of the health ministry website (www.ministerosalute.it/dispositivi/) in English, as well as Italian. The deadline for comments is the end of January 2010.
