TysonBio expands into India

Executive Summary

Taiwanese manufacturer of blood glucose monitoring systems Tyson Bioresearch (TysonBio) has struck two distribution deals in India in a bid to grow its geographic footprint. The firm has enlisted New Delhi-based Lifeline Surgicals and Regenix Drugs, based in Chennai, to cover both the northern and southern Indian regions, respectively. TysonBio's CE-marked and FDA-cleared blood glucose meters, the EZ Smart and Diachex, integrate biosensor and proprietary compressed data memory micro-ship technologies to enable the devices to work three times as fast as those with standard chips, says the Chunan-based company.
