Management changes at B&L's vision care unit

Executive Summary
Eye health company Bausch & Lomb has promoted Peter Valenti to corporate vice-president and global president of its vision care business. Mr Valenti, who will assume the new role with effect from July 1, succeeds Stuart Heap, who has chosen to step down for "personal reasons". Mr Heap will continue to be an active strategic advisor to the New York, Rochester-based company. Mr Valenti's current position as B&L Vision Care's president for North America will be filled by Steven Robins. Mr Robins was most recently general manager of Johnson & Johnson's Canadian consumer healthcare division, and vice-president of its consumer group.
