Dublin, Ireland-based Icon had previously purchased a 70% stake in the firm in 2004, when it was known by its original name Beacon Biosciences. Beacon subsequently changed its name to Icon Medical Imaging in 2007.The division provides pharmaceutical, biotech and life science clients with laboratory imaging services and, according to Icon, has managed more than 260 imaging trials in oncology, cardiovascular, central nervous system, medical devices and imaging agents.
