Regenerative medicine Integra LifeSciences (Plainsboro, New Jersey) has signed a three-year deal with US healthcare contracting service Novation for its Integra Mozaik osteoconductive scaffold. This deal will see Novation make the Mozaik technology available to members of the VHA, UHC and Provista healthcare purchasing networks – Integra claims that these three networks used Novation contracts to purchase more than $33.1bn of equipment in 2007. Integra’s collagen ceramic bone graft substitute technology is designed for use as a bone void filler and to allow for bone growth. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
