Sabina Hoekstra van den Bosch, senior adviser at the Dutch government’s Department of Pharmaceutical Affairs and Medical Technology, has accepted a position at Philips Healthcare as senior manager, quality and regulatory1. She will be leaving her current post at the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport – a position she has held for nine years – on 1 October 2011. Ms Hoekstra van den Bosch is vice-chair of the recently established European Central Management Committee (CMC) on medical devices and was chair of the EU Working Group on New and Emerging Technologies in Medical Devices for four years, up until December 2009.
